personalised cardiovascular risk prevention
CARAMEL is a research and innovation project funded under Horizon Europe. It aims to develop an AI-driven, personalized prevention model tailored to the unique cardiovascular health needs of women aged 40-60, particularly during the menopausal transition, when CVD risk rises significantly. CARAMEL will empower women to better understand their cardiovascular health and adopt effective prevention strategies, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve during this critical life stage.

CARAMEL CVD Prevention Portal
Menopause and Heart is a public, non-commercial digital resource supporting cardiovascular prevention during the menopausal transition. Informed by research evidence and co-design activities, it brings together dedicated scientifically sound information about menopause and heart health for women aged 40–60 and healthcare professionals, a curated Resources Hub, and access to the CARAMEL cardiovascular risk self-assessment app, linking awareness, evidence and prevention within one digital environment. It supports an increase in health literacy and informed decision-making around cardiovascular personalised and self-managed prevention.
